There will be plenty to see, touch, taste and take home as you make your way through the rows of stalls overflowing with fresh produce, flowers, art, ready-to-eat food, coffee, wine tasting and much more. A free children’s entertainment area will be available and there will be live entertainment throughout the day.

Enjoy an afternoon overlooking the Burnett River and the historic Mt Lawless Rail Bridge while wandering through a flower farm with a glass of wine in hand. Watch a flower arrangement demonstration and sample delicious local produce from the grazing table. This ‘Flower Farm Experience’, including bus transport, is only $35 per person.

Why not upgrade your afternoon to the ‘Full Flowers and Art Experience’, which includes everything above plus the opportunity to create your own artwork on canvas, with tutoring by Sue Capewell. Sue is an award-winning local artist and workshop facilitator who will guide you through painting a colourful bunch of flowers, or one of the other examples on display. You don’t need any painting experience to walk away with a beautiful art piece and a sense of accomplishment; just come along with an open mind and an old shirt to protect your clothes. All equipment is provided. This full experience is only $65 per person.

Bottles of wine and bunches of organic flowers will be available for purchase.

Tickets to this relaxing and creative afternoon will sell out fast, so get in quick!

Please note, all tickets include bus transfer. Because of private organic planting, no private vehicles are allowed on the farm, so take the opportunity to jump on the bus (pick up and drop off at the Gayndah Bowls Club) and enjoy a few glasses of local wine throughout the afternoon! Pick-up time is 1.30pm and the bus will return to town after 6pm… just in time to take part in the Heartland Festival Food Bowl!

Even if you’ve never bowled before, grab some friends or family and come along to the Gayndah Bowls Club for a great night out. Feel free to just bowl a few ends, or play a full game against another team. A full bar will be available, as well as softdrink, tea and coffee. Children are welcome at this family-friendly event. Please note: Meals are not included in the Food Bowl entry. Ready-to-eat food will be available for purchase.

Tickets are $12 per player, including entry to the Food Bowl and green fees. Family tickets are available for $25 (2 adults and 2 or more children) and also include green fees. If you want to come along and enjoy the Food Bowl and watch the bowling, but don’t want to join in, entry-only tickets are available for just $5, which includes entry to the Food Bowl and a spectator-pass to the Bowls Club.

There are a limited number of bowls spots available, so book your tickets now.

A picnic basket laden with gorgeous food on a blanket spread out in the sunshine on a beautiful Spring day; family and friends enjoying each other’s company before joining in traditional games of tug-o-war, egg and spoon race, sack races and tunnel ball before sitting back with a beverage from the bar listening to local entertainment…. put yourself in this scene at the Heartland Festival Family Picnic, to be held on the Gayndah State School oval on Sunday, 22nd September 2019.

Tickets are $65 per family or group of 4, or $35 for a couple or group of 2, which includes a picnic basket laden with local meat, eggs, cheese, bread, blueberries, avocado, citrus, chutney and more. Softdrink is included and a bar will be operating. Don’t miss this family day out full of traditional fun and local produce!
